They may complain that they need to pay for online but keep paying for it anyway. They may complain about drifting sticks but still keep buying them each year (at least Microsoft let you use 3rd party gamepads like Gamesir with magnetic sticks and triggers so they will never drift). They accepted shitty blurry screen due the screen reconstruction, low framerates with awful 1% low and frametimes, they love paid online, paid cut dlc on day 1, online only drm. They are ideal cattle that keep consuming without a single break.

consoles are definitely not more expensive long term, they release a new one every 8 years and its not like you have to buy it right away. They still release games for old gen for 2-3 years so you can buy a console every 10 years. You cant go 10 years without upgrading your pc.

I actually also considered getting digital version, but yeah seems like the disc version would be the safer bet.

Would probably be obsolete as well if they come out with a PS6 or so on.
