In my early teens, I had moderate (not that strong) feelings for Rosalina, even though she obviously is a fictional character. I sometimes picked her in Mario Kart Wii because of her prettiness (of course they don't design ugly female video game characters!) and I liked her voice and her long hair. Also, her floating star looked funny. I sometimes imagined Rosalina as my girlfriend.
Obviously, she is a fictional character. She is designed cute and good-looking on purpose. Video game developers obviously use the opportunity to make unrealistically good-looking female characters.
