I watched the first two movies (extended edition) and thought they were fine but they were long as fuck so didn't bother with the third one (I kept delaying it) and now I don't remember anything so I'd have to watch them over again. Same with the Hobbit I watched the first one in the cinema but never watched the sequels when they came out.

I even tried to read the Hobbit book but dropped it because it was feeling boring and I read like 80% of it before moving to something else, thinking it would get better but nope. I read that LOTR book is even more dense than the Hobbit with too much focus on descriptions and songs/poems so I won't even bother.

I'd say is the only big sci-fi/fantasy franchise I've never completed as I watched all the other big ones like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, etc. Also I find it kinda pathetic how tradcaths are obsessed with LOTR just because the author was conservative and Catholic and he threw in some religious symbolism kek.

Neither did I, I played 2 of the games based off the movie, but that was it

Ok but what do you think of Blade Runner and 2049?

Watched the Hobbit movie, super boring. Never touched LOTR since then.

Yeah, even though I like the movies, it's cringe especially since there are female warriors/soldiers in the films and it's full of feminist bullshit. That whole bit in the movie with the daughter of the king of rohan was so cringe.

Normies are so brainwashed that females begging to fight in battle doesn't register in their brain as propaganda. Anyway, not to shill but if you want to watch peak then Blade Runner and 2049 are goated.

I played shadow of mordor but that's about it. Never watched the movies or anything

Never watched any of it, never read any of the books and never played any of the games and I am proud of that.

Greatest films ever made

I have not watched a lot of iconic western movies, I lost interest in movies. I have not watched lord of the rings or the godfather, or Star Wars.

I didn't watch the movies but I played Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War

I haven’t even consumed a single piece of LOTR content. Maybe I should check it out at some point idk.

check out the audiobook by Phil Dragash, it's a little gem in its own right
