There's a decent amount of Zoomers here but you don't know how drastically different the 2000s were. I'm not that old to be super aware of what was happening but the first time I've seen a smartphone in my life was in 8th grade. No not other students carrying a smartphone but first smartphone I've ever seen in my life was in the end of middle school. Either way, people are always eternally scum no matter what but this whole culture of soy really increased drastically throughout the 2010s. I watched how my first encounter with SJW behavior in Tumblr in 2009/2010 has become accepted normal culture. There was social media in the 2000s, I even had a Myspace but it's influence was so minimal. In the early to mid 2000s, I never saw a single person take a selfie and currently I see subhumans take selfies every single day for the most petty of reasons and stupid of situations. I hate how cRap music pervades every single genre, I hate all 2010s genres like EDM too but cRap especially increased the degeneracy. Hip Hop was existent in mainstream 2000s but the 2000s music scene was not as homogenous as today. To be a Wigger was to be viewed as retarded in the 2000s, but to not be a Wigger in the 2010s is to be shunned by soyciety. Rap has always been degenerate even back then but somehow it has increased drastically in the 2010s. There was no designer clothing worship in the 2000s and the music was more about having a good time than "flexing." I hate the increase of Korean media that really accelerated in the 2010s, Korean media is one big shitty soyfest and all Mangolords eat this shit up like good goys. Even the current usage of English manages to piss me off, how many more times am I going to hear some normscum speak post 2010 ebonics, all the slang that I hear on a daily basis was completely nonexistent during in the mid 2000s.
What does this have to do with 2020? It's because the further we get away from my happy days of the mid 2000s that I am reminded of how disgusting the world has become. Western society was okay when I was younger, but the 2010s have made me actively await the coming of the 2nd Sodom and Gomorrah for the entire planet. Every time I see 2020, I am reminded how far the world has strayed from when I was young. How much time has passed and every day the world strays further from righteousness.
