The United States has created an enemy for itself twice in history in an attempt to defeat another enemy. Ironically, the United States pumped the USSR with technology and industrial aid and gave them eastern Europe, creating a mortal enemy in exchange for defeating the Reich. Then the United States gave China factories so that China could become a superpower from a country where tens of millions of peasants were dying of hunger by stealing technology from the United States in exchange for China's help in the fight against the USSR.
