How is it to live under communism

Living under communism was a multifaceted experience, marked by both positive and negative aspects. While some individuals and communities benefited from the system’s promises of social equality and economic security, others faced severe restrictions, shortages, and lack of personal freedoms.
Economic Challenges
  • Job security was often a myth, as people struggled to maintain employment and access basic necessities like food and housing.
  • Poverty and crime increased, as the black market and unofficial economies thrived.
  • The availability of goods and services was limited, leading to shortages and long queues.
  • The lack of incentives and motivation led to inefficiencies and stagnation in industries.
