Any time this man plays the trumpet its incredible. One of his best works was based on Vivaldi piece with a concerto for 3 trumpets and I can't find it on YouTube but I do have it on CD.

Holst's - The Planets is great but nothing beats Jupiter for me.

I'm not a big history person, so why did Stalin hate the piece?
It wasn't actually any one piece of music, there were several "war symphonies". Officially he was denounced for his music not being "prolitarian" enough. Stalin thought that his symphonies were not about the war but about the repression of the Soviet system. Stalin also hated anyone who was well known and popular because he feared anyone who could challenge him.

Its a weird one but I've always liked "Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra" as well. I love how they break the piece of music down into individual instruments and bring them all back together in the finale. I had it on CD as a boy. My Grandfather got it for me but i lost it years ago.
