Just think about it, the obstacle to love is a constant in many classic horror movies, and the physical appearance as an impediment to get a mate.
THE MUMMY
the story of the mummy is almost the same in all its movies, a mummified egyptian priest comes back to life and meets the reincarnation of his oneitis, but he never gets to be with her because his plans are frustrated by a historian.
FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER
frankenstein's monster is in need of a mate, but she rejects him, and the monster chooses to commit suicide along with her and her creator.
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
the phantom of the opera hiding his physical appearance behind a mask, and the girl he's in love with is horrified to see his face
CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON
another incel monster is the creature from the black lagoon, being the last specimen of his race, he tries to avoid extinction by trying to court a human female (he even performs an underwater courtship dance) but humans try to destroy his environment and kill the beast.
then we discover that the monster does not die in the first movie, and unfortunately his suffering is extended in a trilogy.
but it has a happy ending, in the final scene of the last movie we can see the monster contemplating the ocean, once free from the captivity of humans.
THE HUNCHBACK
the most remarkable incel of all these films is the hunchback in "house of frankenstein" (fourth sequel to the original film).
he falls in love with a gypsy woman and rescues her from her abusive husband, only to later see her fall in love with the wolfman.
later she claims to hate the hunchback and calls him horrendous because of his physical appearance (only because he tries to warn her about the danger of the werewolf) seconds later we see her smiling when the wolfman confesses to her that he enjoys killing people in his bestial form. (dark triad)
the hunchback spends the whole movie asking the mad scientist to improve his body so he can look attractive to her.
