Media Chiptune music is good !

It's a genre I particularly appreciate, because despite the technical limitations they found techniques for generating sounds from sine waves and basic percussion. In fact, the old game consoles like NES and GameBoy didn't have dedicated circuitry but rather a processor to produce music.

Castlevania is a very good platform game license that incorporates the Gothic aesthetic. I've only played the first one, which came out in '86.

Based, the OG one is one of my favorite NES games. But you should also try Super Castlevania IV too at the very least.
