Chinese people are known for being cheap dirty bastards.
I'm Chinese myself but a few years back I got yelled at by the owner of a restaurant for asking for condiments.
I thought to myself how cheap, stupid, and emotional of them. They would lose a customer altogether because he wanted sauce on the side. I would have even paid the 25 cents but instead he decided to yell at me.
So I never went back.
When you're cheap and dirty people look down on you. But it also has much more serious implications in other aspects of life. If people are cheap as fuck that means they're low trust, classless, and always trying to undercut people at other's expense. And low trust means a whole series of other issues in society. Whether that be greed, corruption, poor services, dangerous infrastructure due to cost cutting, etc...
Especially Canto people. Canto people are 1/3-1/2 vietnamese/tai/flips matrilineally and a lot don't have any class. At least compared to northern Chinese, Koreans, and Japs.
