News China bans yoke steering wheels and mandates physical switches on cars

unrelated but how true is the chinese internet propaganda, that they filter/censor internet access to a lot of things

This isn't from Chinese source.

Also, surprisingly not that much, other than hot button issues. China knows its people use VPNs or leave China for business. As long you don't critique the party or make it look bad you're fine, or mass disrupt social harmony.

As with every countries, the image is blurred if you come into trouble with the elites. (It is your best interest to avoid crossing path with the elites to avoid incidents, in both the west and the east; I've been to both)

When I say avoiding to cross path with the elites, I meant it literally and figuratively. For example, there is not much you can do when you damaged a rich person's supercar; youre condemned to lifetime of hefty damage payment.

Honestly, reading the article, this is a good thing.

My car has one of those stupid "steering wheels" and it was and still is tough to get used to this shit.

It makes steering unnecessarily harder.
You really have to think where you grab this thing.

It is an eye catcher, nothing more.

EVs are deathtraps. it's good that they're making these things slightly safer
stealth door handles are another bullshit design, ngl

These wheels are designed for GT3 racing cars, where drivers barely rotate it more than 180degs; at the speed of GT3 cars, a lot of the times you rotate it maybe only 90degs something before the grip approaches the limit and rotating it further just squeak the tires.

That actually makes sense. Explains a lot but not why they'd put this shit in civilian vehicles other than to better sell their crap.

My whole cockpit looks like some spaceahip also.

My next car is going to be a Mazda or Suzuki for sure. Maybe a Honda.
