She murdered her 3 year old daughter and there was an astronomical amount of evidence that she was guilty, including DNA evidence and google searches for "fool-proof suffocation methods" the day before her daughter "went missing". She was ultimately found "not guilty" but most people view that verdict in the same light as the OJ simpson verdict (for the two murders, not the crimes he committed years later) as in "technically found not guilty but we all know they did it".
