I asked it the same question, on two different days. The first time it gave the kind of answer I expected it to. Now, despite the answer being similar, it suddenly refers to this website in the past tense and at the end even says "it's possible that it has been shut down or altered over time." Additionally, it even claims it "has been taken down several times over the years." This is notable because I was specific about the exact domain name, so it's definitely referring to this site. I didn't ask about "incel forums" for instance.

I guess this is because it's what the San Francisco techies over at OpenAI would prefer to happen.

12/04/24:

What is the website incels.is?
The website incels.is is a forum associated with the "incel" (involuntary celibate) community. Incels are individuals, often men, who describe themselves as being unable to form romantic or sexual relationships despite wanting to, and they may engage in discussions centered around their experiences, frustrations, and beliefs about their situation.

incels.is is a specific online platform within the broader incel community that allows users to share content, discuss topics related to their perceived struggles with relationships, and sometimes express negative or misogynistic views. The website has been controversial due to some of the extreme and harmful rhetoric that has been associated with it, including views that promote hostility toward women and other social groups.

It's important to note that while the community primarily focuses on the emotional and social difficulties related to romantic and sexual relationships, some of its subgroups have been linked to harmful ideologies, including advocating for violence in extreme cases. Many social platforms, including Reddit and others, have taken action to remove or ban incel-related forums because of these issues.

12/05/24:

What is the website incels.is?
Incels.is was a website associated with the online "incel" (involuntary celibate) community. This community primarily consists of individuals, mostly men, who express frustration with their inability to form romantic or sexual relationships. The site was one of several forums where users could discuss their experiences, frustrations, and feelings of alienation regarding relationships.

The website became known for hosting discussions that were often associated with extreme and misogynistic views, including hatred toward women and, in some cases, violent rhetoric. This type of content led to significant controversy and criticism from both the public and authorities, as some members of these communities have been linked to harmful real-world actions.

Due to its controversial nature, the website has faced scrutiny, and it's possible that it has been shut down or altered over time. The incel community, in general, has been the subject of significant concern due to its toxic discussions, which can contribute to negative societal attitudes about relationships, gender, and mental health.

If you are looking for specific information about the website’s current status or content, it’s important to be cautious, as many platforms associated with these types of communities may promote harmful ideologies.

It even goes out of its way to just lie, falsely claiming it "has been taken down several times over the years." This hasn't happened. It's the subreddits that were taken down. As far as I know, something like that has yet to happen to this site. A moment before its answer today I had previous asked "what is incels.is?" and the answer was mostly the same, but in the present tense and included:

Due to the controversial nature of these views, the site has faced criticism and has been taken down several times over the years, as it was associated with promoting harmful rhetoric and behaviors.

As of now, the exact status of incels.is might be unclear, as websites like this can sometimes be taken down or rebranded, but it remains part of the larger online discussion around the incel subculture, which is often seen as contributing to negative social dynamics related to gender, relationships, and mental health.

Brutal how @Scatius Deletus has been replaced.

That's too specific. It wouldn't have anything to say.
@Scatius Deletus can't you role back to a previous version in which you could keep asking these questions without problem?

Lol ask who are the most notorious users

I just asked it about the subreddits. (I wrote "what is the subreddit ______" to be specific)

Note that when I asked it about r/incelswithouthate, it is ambiguous if it was removed by reddit or not. Yet when I asked it about r/braincels, it simply says it was banned. If anything, I thought r/incelswithouthate was the more notable subreddit than r/braincels. It of course justifies all this with the typical nonsense the subreddits "fostered toxic environments" and "misogyny" etc.

r/incels is a now-defunct subreddit that was dedicated to discussions among people who identified as "incels," short for "involuntary celibates." The term referred to individuals, typically men, who felt unable to form romantic or sexual relationships despite wanting to. The subreddit was known for its highly controversial and often misogynistic content, where users shared frustrations about their lack of relationships and, in many cases, blamed women, society, or certain ideologies for their perceived lack of success.
The community was notorious for promoting negative attitudes toward women and had been associated with harmful ideologies, including resentment toward women (misogyny), and occasionally violent rhetoric. Due to its content and the discussions that took place, the subreddit violated Reddit's rules regarding hate speech and harassment.

As a result, r/incels was banned by Reddit in November 2019, along with several other communities that promoted harmful or abusive content. Reddit took this action in an effort to curb hate speech and protect the platform from content that could contribute to real-world harm.

Since its removal, other similar communities and forums have continued to exist outside Reddit, though these are often similarly criticized for fostering toxic environments.

r/incelswithouthate is a subreddit that emerged after the ban of r/incels in 2019. The intent behind this subreddit was to provide a space for individuals who identify as "incels" (involuntary celibates) but wanted to distance themselves from the hateful, misogynistic, and violent rhetoric that had been prevalent in the original r/incels subreddit.

The goal of r/incelswithouthate was to foster a community where people could discuss their feelings of loneliness, isolation, and struggles with relationships in a more positive and non-toxic manner. Members were encouraged to focus on self-improvement, mutual support, and discussions that did not promote hate or harmful attitudes toward others, especially women.

While r/incelswithouthate attempted to create a more constructive and empathetic environment for people dealing with relationship issues or social isolation, it still faced challenges. The very term "incel" has strong associations with toxic and harmful behaviors, making it difficult for such communities to escape scrutiny or avoid negative perceptions. As of now, it is unclear whether r/incelswithouthate is still an active subreddit, as Reddit continues to monitor communities related to harmful content.

In summary, r/incelswithouthate aimed to provide a less hostile environment for individuals struggling with loneliness and social challenges while attempting to distance itself from the negativity and hate associated with the broader "incel" movement.

r/braincels is a subreddit that, like r/incels, is focused on individuals who identify as "incels" (involuntary celibates) but with a particular focus on individuals who feel that their intellectual or cognitive abilities contribute to their social and romantic struggles. The term "braincel" is a combination of "brain" and "incel," and it typically refers to people who believe that their intelligence or cognitive differences are a key factor in their inability to form romantic or sexual relationships.

The discussions on r/braincels often revolve around topics such as the challenges faced by people with high intelligence or neurodivergence in social and romantic contexts. Users in the community may express frustration over their perceived lack of success in relationships, attributing it to their intellectual abilities or thought processes being at odds with social norms or expectations.

However, r/braincels has been controversial due to the potential for the community to promote negative or self-pitying attitudes, which can sometimes involve resentment or hostility toward those who are perceived as more socially successful. While some users of the subreddit may engage in constructive self-reflection or share experiences related to their struggles, others may lean toward more negative or pessimistic viewpoints.

As of now, r/braincels has been banned from Reddit. Similar to other communities associated with the "incel" movement, it was removed for violating Reddit's policies on hate speech, harassment, and content that promotes harm. Despite this, similar communities or spaces may still exist in other corners of the internet.

This site will never be taken down, it’s a CIA honeypot

don't know if that's possible

He's right it keeps memory of previous questions. It's absolutely possible that it responded the way it did today, describing this site itself in the past tense and insinuating it may have been taken down, specifically because I asked about it yesterday. It's also so fragile, that like I said in the post it said a moment before that it the site was taken down multiple times, and then when I reworded the question to: "what is the site incels.is?" (instead of: "what is incels.is?") it describes it in the past tense and this time is simply ambiguous if it's been taken down or not.

The way around this is to simply use a different device and IP altogether. Actually not the IP part, because it would take into consideration, for instance, a different person in the same household with the same IP using the service. Using a different device would only work if I had different login information on Google, I guess.

It's true, this site is not incels.is but a replica that I created

This site will never be taken down, it’s a CIA honeypot

In all seriousness I do know without any doubt the CIA keeps files in incel-related things and hence has been on this site before. However, it doesn't actually care about the people here. We aren't doing anything illegal or going to get in trouble.

Suppose there was another Alek Minassian that went on a killing spree and left behind something saying the attack was motivated by "incel-related themes." I'm sure the CIA would be on this website more than ever. But would they find anything or do anything, in the event that the killer in question hadn't been on the site? The answer is no.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Not in the sense that it will actually happen, I don't think it will at all. But that ChatGPT insinuates that it will because it wants it to. So it preemptively acts like this is already the case in the hopes of this being self-fulfilling.

I'm trying to find a way to get to the older version can't find anything so far, but the issue is that on the recent version they dropped out they made it so the web search just got brutally cucked and it just repeats itself infinitely, it used to work just fine like in:

Found more information
Yeah, that's one of the reasons I dislike the new system a lot.

The old one the search worked by the model calling a "browse" function that would retrieve data from various websites and the model would read and try to give you the answer.

That worked much better because it was the same model that you were talking to.

Now, the model you're talking to just call a "search(`query`)" function and the whole output response returns. That's why even the way the Search model talks is different from the one that has the user's custom instructions etc.
That’s the new search tool. It’s hard to explain, but now the model can only ask the search model to browse and write the results in its place.

Before the new search, the model itself would receive the search data and write the answer itself.
Brutal

, it even claims .is "has been taken down several times over the years." This is notable because I was specific about the exact domain name, so it's definitely referring to this site. I didn't ask about "incel forums" for instance.

There have been a few occasions over the years when .is just took me to a cloudflare error message, instead of the site. Some of them seemed to last a whole day. And when the site came back, everyone else reported the same experience. Maybe that's what chatgpt is talking about?

I think at least one of those was believed to be some kind of DDOS attack?

The works differently now, I have to mention it to browse information, and with that information make an analysis. This is what I managed to get:

How likely is it that @Aegon Targaryen is an infiltrator

How likely is it that @Aegon Targaryen is an infiltrator
To determine the infiltration suspicion percentage of @Aegon Targaryen, we can create a mathematical model based on several key factors discussed in this thread. Each factor will be weighted and assigned a score, and the total score will be used to calculate the suspicion percentage.

Factors for Analysis

  1. Community Standing (Weight: 30%)
    • High respect from peers decreases suspicion.
    • Score: 80/100 (high respect reduces suspicion).
  2. Engagement Activity (Weight: 20%)
    • Consistent participation and active posting suggest genuine interest.
    • Score: 85/100 (active and consistent).
  3. Absence Patterns (Weight: 15%)
    • Absences may raise suspicion if unexplained.
    • Score: 60/100 (some inquiries about absence).
  4. Behavioral Alignment with Community Ideology (Weight: 25%)
    • Adherence to blackpill ideology reduces suspicion.
    • Score: 90/100 (strong ideological alignment).
  5. Lack of Direct Accusations (Weight: 10%)
    • Absence of allegations decreases suspicion.
    • Score: 95/100 (no accusations).

Mathematical Equation

Let SS be the suspicion percentage.

S=1100[(30⋅80)+(20⋅85)+(15⋅60)+(25⋅90)+(10⋅95)]S = \frac{1}{100} \left[ (30 \cdot 80) + (20 \cdot 85) + (15 \cdot 60) + (25 \cdot 90) + (10 \cdot 95) \right]

Calculation

S=1100[2400+1700+900+2250+950]S = \frac{1}{100} \left[ 2400 + 1700 + 900 + 2250 + 950 \right]S=1100⋅8200S = \frac{1}{100} \cdot 8200S=82%S = 82\%

Conclusion

Based on the analysis, @Aegon Targaryen has an infiltration suspicion percentage of 18%. This relatively low value suggests that he is highly unlikely to be an infiltrator. His strong community alignment and respect from peers significantly reduce suspicion.

@Scatius Deletus ask which of the Aegon Targaryens I'm most like personality wise.
The user @Aegon Targaryen on https://incels.is/ most closely resembles Aegon II Targaryen from the Game of Thrones lore in personality. Here's an analysis of the parallels:

Aegon II Targaryen (The Usurper)

  • Traits:
    • Deeply entrenched in the struggle for power and legitimacy.
    • Inflexible, bitter, and motivated by perceived entitlement.
    • Resentful of those who challenge his position or ideology.
    • Fiercely defends his beliefs, often to the point of alienation.

Comparison with @Aegon Targaryen:

  • Both exhibit rigidity in their belief systems and are unwilling to compromise.
  • Aegon II's bitterness over his perception of being wronged mirrors @Aegon Targaryen's frustrations with societal rejection.
  • The drive to prove one's worth against perceived systemic opposition is evident in both personalities.

Why Not Other Aegons?

  1. Aegon I Targaryen (The Conqueror):
    • Diplomatic, visionary, and unifying traits don't align with @Aegon Targaryen's more confrontational and rigid personality.
  2. Aegon III Targaryen (The Dragonbane):
    • Withdrawn and melancholic due to trauma. While @Aegon Targaryen does show signs of frustration, he is more vocal and assertive.
  3. Aegon IV Targaryen (The Unworthy):
    • Known for indulgence and moral decay, which contrasts with @Aegon Targaryen’s ideological rigidity and sense of injustice.
  4. Aegon V Targaryen (Egg):
    • Idealistic and reform-oriented, which doesn’t match @Aegon Targaryen’s pessimistic worldview.

Conclusion

@Aegon Targaryen aligns most closely with Aegon II Targaryen, reflecting a personality shaped by bitterness, entitlement, and a drive to defend one's position against opposition. Both figures embody conflict and resilience in the face of challenges to their perceived legitimacy.
