Title: “You Only Get One Shot at Teenage Love”

You don’t get a second chance at being 16.

There are no do-overs. No late bloom. No “your time will come.” If you weren’t wanted then, if no one looked at you like you mattered, that’s it. That chapter closed without you in it.

While others were getting their first kiss, first love, first taste of being chosen—you were in your room. Watching. Wondering what it was like. Trying to convince yourself you didn’t care. Telling yourself you were focused on school or hobbies, when deep down you just weren’t wanted. Not in that way.

And now you’re older, and everyone acts like it’s fine. “You’ll find someone eventually.” But it’s not the same. Teenage love has a kind of magic you can never recreate. It’s innocent. It’s unearned affection. It’s being loved just for existing. As you get older, love becomes transactional. Earned. Conditional. If you weren’t good enough to be loved then, the world doesn’t stop to apologize.

You missed it. And it hurts in a way that’s hard to explain to people who got to feel it. They carry memories. You carry silence. They remember being chosen. You remember being ignored.

People say to move on. But how do you move on from something you never had?

Teen love pill is a 2023 topic tbh
