Either A(S)I kills us all, it empowers a few to rule the rest forever or we get to see the beginnings of a post scarcity society & maybe even live in it, if anti-aging tech gets sped up enough to reach escape velocity. Technological progress is really the most impactfull factor there is, cuture&politics are largely just more or less direct consequences.
AI is the technology automating the act of thinking, including the act of thinking about how to improve technology further. A man (even a strong man equipped with a shovel) is no competition to a modern excavator. The world won't look the same after ASI has arrived. It won't even look similar.
