I've wondered how simply viewing underage porn helps create more. If you pay for it, then yes it creates a large incentive for more harm. But anonymous views on the internet didn't seem enough to create a market.

Someone on a different board pointed to a phenomena stating that people even viewing something helps create more of it. I forget what the exact phenomena was called, but it seemed legit enough to defeat my decree that simply looking at underage porn was harmless.

But, pedophiles/molesters are today's boogeymen, so arguing for their benefit is a battle I rarely partake in. I just tend to relate to whoever is deemed a 'monster' by society, and I feel the need to play devil's advocate in their defense.

It's surely not useful at all to try to take their side, but at the very least, both underage porn AND gore should be illegal. Both are pics and videos depicting a crime (most gore at least depict a crime or aftermath of one).

The market argument is dumb since people are not paying for either in the vast majority of cases but it's a losing battle, if just "normal" male sexuality is already considered pretty much the enemy by default in today's society, what to say of pedophiles... no chance. Not even prostitution is legal in some places, and we're in the age of promiscuity like never before, for God's sake.
