Security guard here, been working as one for almost two years.
Provided you get hired at a warm body site(not expected to defend self or assault someone) you don't need to have any skills. I don't look intimidating at all(5'6 and 120 lbs). Hardest thing I do at my job was inspect fire extinguishers & mark it down.

Only Nightshifters and second shift does. I'm alone in the building for 6/8 hrs of my shift with my only contact being the radio for check-ins.
