I literally got chills from watching it just now, which is very rare for me to experience.

Infinite warfare was literally a pillar of my mid teen years, it basically defined the year of 2018 for me personally.

It’s strange because I grew up with call of duty like almost all zoomers (bo1 was my first cod game and my parents regretted buying because of the f bombs not the violence or gore) but in a strange way I’ll say that infinite warfare is the game that had the most impact on me. Probably because I played the hell out of all three modes. Plus it was the first and really only game on my Xbox one that I had besides roblox.

I can’t really recall the last time I ever played it, I actually have no clue it’s been a few years most likely.

In summer 2022 the wifi in my town went out for about a week. It was honestly kinda fun to watch DVDs for the week. I went to a local game store and bought a copy of infinite warfare for pretty cheap. I played a bit of the campaign and thought it was pretty cool. I also played quite a bit of the multiplayer, a bit of zombies in spaceland too. I should finish the campaign.

As a zillennial, you missed how fucking good and better Battlifield 3 was and the Modern Warfare series of early 2010's. Maps were amazing, guns were amazing, everything just worked. Best years for multiplayer FPS were 2007 - 2018.

BF3 (2011) > BF WW1 > BF4 (2013) > MW ('07) > MW2 (09). Every BF since WW1 BF has been shit, and every MW since MW2 has been mostly shit

Nothing compares to BF3, nothing. Not even BF WW1. Nobody can replicate the authentic sound of that game since its release in Oct 2011, and for being more than a decade old, it looks better than 3/4 of FPS games released today. Peak moment in gaming.

How the flying fuck in 2026 can the explosions in a COD game look way worse than the explosions in a Battlefield game from 2011. It's not even comparable.
