The problem imo is Bulgaria has a subhuman people who are a mixture Slavs, Meds and Turks. When Bulgaria got independence, every person who got in any government position of power used it to steal from the people in his own community.. and set up his friends and family in positions of government power so they could do the same.

What do people do when the men with guns steal all their wealth. Well first off people stop trying, instead of working hard all day, they just do the minimum to get by so there isn't much left to steal. Secondly, people with intelligence and ambition, they just leave the country. When Bulgaria joined the EU it made it so people could easily leave Bulgaria.

What do the men with guns do when there isn't much left to steal. They get even more aggressive and desperate. Eventually many of them have to move on too, and become like low paid menial workers in Western Europe.

Its a fundamental weakness of these countries. Like how many people are in their parliament, lets say 200 people. Ok we give 101 of them $10 million each to sell out their country and hand it over. That cost is $1,010 million, hardly anything for America to pay.

Then there is underbidding maybe some would be willing to vote to hand over their country for just $1 million. We pay whoever is the cheapest 101 of them.
