Springtime was painted by Cot in 1873. The painting was first exhibited at the 1873 Paris salon, where it was well received; the work would go on to become Cot's most successful work of art, and was often copied in other mediums. In terms of the painting itself, Cot's work depicts a young couple locked in an embrace on a swing amid a forest or garden. The two are wearing classical garb, and are seemingly enthralled by each other, described by one source as "drunken with first love".

You will never embrace a beautiful young foid as you swing carelessly in the forest. You will never have a foid look at you with love in her eyes. All because you were born wrong.

And before the agecucks comment, this painting is held the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, where it is presented for the public to see.

This just made me feel depressed again. Brutal reminder of what I missed.

The painter was a fairly ugly guy too:

Imagine painting something this beautiful with such depth and emotion knowing you can never experience it yourself. He also painted this painting called The Storm featuring what looks like the same two lovers:

This is so alien to me, especially when i was a teenager, i can't even feel anything, I can't even understand

Nothing can fill the void, all you can do is try to forget.

I will never have this :feelsrope:

Just watched what you are talking about. It grossed me out tbh, the painting depicts a purer kind of love.

but the first minute of kids depicted the bizzaro version of what this painting depicts to you: the purest kind of lust. It does so without even needing to show a tit

I think the tits are tasteful and subtle in the painting, the kissing is over the top and shows too much lust. It doesn't feel like love in the movie, but the majority of the feeling that the painting elicits is "love", whatever that is, with an overarching sexuality that is also included.

the difference between lust and love to me is that lust feels like something you will always hunger like a predator. Lust is stronger. It's an addiction what can only be fulfilled in the moment, and you can never have too much. Love seems like a chaste wholesome type of lust most people feign because they are too cowardly to experience REAL lust like a degenerate animal.

I suppose 'love' is more pragmatic in the long term vs the short term in terms of sustainability. Not everyone can be R-Kelly up until the day they die, though I suppose Hugh Hefner pulled off lust his entire life magically.

Brutal, deserves an acid attack.

I remember I used to fantasize about having a gf every single fucking day ever since I was 12 or so.

If younger me knew that this would be my fate, I would have most likely roped.
