Short stocky guys have always been the best machine gunners because they could be overloaded to a point, but they have never been the best runners. Tall skinny guys are good runners, but can't carry as much. Tall muscular guys break easily due to wear and tear, they often end up with back and knee issues. Average is probably best in all roles, not counting specifics like pilots or tankers.
