I can kinda relate though no broken foot as of yet for me fortunately.

I almost died falling once due to wet floor which i didnt know about, Must have spilled something, One millimeter and id be dead or hurt real bad, Luckily i fell backwards and on the clear floor and my arms was able to move to my back and lessen the fall, They didnt break tho even tho they are twigs.

ALWAYS CHECK FLOOR FOR WATER, ALWAYS! OR DIE!

Could be hyper extension in the knees you have weak hamstrings
