Sounds like it was an infection. It doesn't say what he got done to his teeth, but if he got tooth implants, that's almost certainly what caused the infection that killed him, not the hair transplant.

Infections from hair transplants are pretty rare, and dying from a hair transplant is extremely rare. You're more likely to die in a plane crash going to turkey than you are to die from a hair transplant.
