he did not form the group. hypothetically if he never existed then the group would still exist with the same number of people minus just 1. It is commonly said that, because 'every person' in the group believes in it and might boycott imports, that if all of them quit because they listened to my argument, then noone would be in the group. but of course, that is an 'if' statement.
