I read political science books for knowledge but never fiction for entertainment. I'm not sure what genre to get into or any good authors. Do you guys have any good recommendations?

The Vampire Lestat
The entire Vampire Chronicles quite honestly.
Though please ignore the shitty AMC series and Queen of the Damned movie.
The only worthwhile big screen adaptation of Anne Rices work in this series was the 1995 movie starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.
It was excellent and it’s a shame and waste of Tom’s talent that he spent all those years making those summer action slop Mission Impossible films when he should have been making the Vampire Lestat and the rest of the series with the director of the first film.
