Recently I've been dealing extensively with lookist female gaslighting and that got me thinking again about Luigi 'Mansion' Mangione, because of how perfectly he captured the female-to-whiteknight gaslighting and hypocrisy apparatus at a moment in time, and to such an undeniably universal degree as well. Which is why no man with integrity should ever let the world forget about that debacle in my opinion and why I wish to bring forth several exhibits from online social media which stand out in their ability to highlight this phenomena for dissection.
Warning: This is going to be a methodical and fairly nuanced examination, don't start reading if you are low IQ or low attention span only to complain later.
Our investigation begins in the bowels of reddit, where a very interesting dichotomy is about to take place.
Above we can see what is the top post in the thread, bemoaning a supposed media campaign by powers-that-be to cheapen Luigi's 'heroism' and paint his admirers as immature infatuated women, which they surely aren't, with a cherrypicked focus on his appearance and distraction from his abundance of male supporters and so on and so forth. In actuality, they argue, Luigi is intellectually and somberly admired for impartial reasons by women and men who are just ideological people without any ulterior motives and are not influenced by anything called the 'halo Effect' at all. His skin-deep beauty is merely an afterthought.
Rest assured, she says, the girlies are not shallow criminal and beauty worshippers. That might have negative connotations, and because women are so wonderful, that cannot possibly be the case and anyone entertaining this notion must be squashed.
Another adept pathological liar daringly ventures even further than that, attempting to gaslight society's collective memory by implying Luigi garnered a similar amount, and similar nature of support before his pictures were even published, in the initial reporting of the attack - twisting semantics and statistical prevalence as well to serve her purpose:
Before the pictures were released, his actions have indeed enjoyed a reasonable amount of widespread justification from leftist activists and populists online, which would include a substantial portion of women since that is their favorite political leaning, and the death of the CEO was celebrated. But that was before, not after, and soon enough nobody wanted to be the 'jealous misogynist' who goes against the beloved idol of every single woman on the planet.
Overnight, the crowd has risen from millions of leftists, to hundreds of millions of women. From a focus on the murder itself, to a full-fledged cult of personality around Luigi himself as a person, daydreaming and fantasizing about his affection, immense care and concern for his well-being in jail, and according to his fangirls themselves even, his elevation into a mythological sex symbol. No different than any other sex cult centered around a 'charismatic' attractive man with a harem of women that women have been drawn to throughout history.

One whiteknight rushes to women's rescue for the 'false media representation' of women being obsessed with his looks... which immediately backfires.
One Redditor even admits that every time he sees a post about Luigi, it's ALWAYS about his LOOKS, which is sad because nobody is concerned enough for the poor Chad's mental health. But how can that be, when clearly, we've been told t hat his looks are merely 'a small bonus' and that his revolutionary spirit is what his groupies truly, deeply care about? Just who is this superficial vapid demographic which can't stop drooling about his looks and making all those posts? Must be the cherrypicking media's fault, even when it happens inside your own thread.
Meanwhile, a few righteous men in Sodom who are, very timidly and walking on eggshells might I add, pointing out the 'ugly truth' which is being confirmed by all the women and whiteknights above in front of our very eyes but without putting enough of a positive spin on it, and worst of all - committing the sin of pondering how women's strong affinity for hot guys might affect their engagement and judgement if instead of a 'hot guy bonus', we had an 'ugly guy minus' for the shooter - are immediately downvoted to oblivion, needless to say, without any rebuttal offered by any woman in the thread whatsoever. Because who needs integrity when you are a woman?
And this same gaslighting galore continues in yet another Reddit thread where pedantry is utilized to dismiss the greater point.
Lastly we have an article from a female magazine that address the issue of 'Why Women Love Luigi', and pay close attention to the fact that, despite being written by women - here they don't shy away from correctly identifying the vast majority of Luigi's orbiters, and I say orbiters because when a man supports Luigi, they focus on the act, while it is the women who are overwhelmingly focusing on venerating him as a love object and someone they want to devote their life to on a personal level. It begins with the following description of the situation:
