Notice how it's always the girl who reaches out to the guy somehow and helps him break out of his shell? It doesn't matter if they were shy, they just found a girl they hit it off with because she was just as interested in engaging them.
We were never in such a situation, there was never a girl that acted even close to interested. Guys like this would find girlfriends accidentally while I used to go out of my way to talk to girls but I was always met with disinterest due to my looks.
There's a common belief that girls will never approach, but that's a big fat cope. If a girl finds you attractive, she WILL let you know somehow. At the very least she won't act like she doesn't want to be near you.
