Decided to finally wake up this year. Another notch on the wall.


It seems like everywhere I look people are starting to pick up on our shit.



It's become a genuine concern of mine.



A culture (and brotherhood for some who've been here for ages) based entirely on the horrendous truths of birth, daily life, and death, is now commonplace in the grand scheme of the Internet.



Some people enjoy the attention, others like that the world is waking up and becoming aware, but it breeds a serious problem that hasn't been addressed, aside for jokes and pitchforks when folks expose themselves.



LARPing.



The language and customs have become so general that almost anyone can throw a few sentences together and move around like an Assassin's Creed game, completely undetected. Not only is this shit concerning, it waters down the legitimate claims, and experiences, many of us have.



I know I'm not the only one here who's seen it and spoken on it, and I'm almost certain I won't be the last.



TL;DR - LARPing has become a widespread issue, a real pandemic. What the fuck is going on?

You can usually tell when they don't take it seriously or don't really understand it at all, it's easy to spot a fake. It irritates me but the damage has been done and there's no coming back, there never was any sanctity to our struggle in their eyes either way

Thanks, brother. The two above me clearly don't get it. 2018 was nearly 10 years ago, I was in an entirely different space. Definitely had a more malleable brain too.

I took repeated time off/went off-grid thinking I was going to grow, that something would change, but no. Back here at the beginning.

I remember one of my first posts and responses here, some guy freaked out because my formatting was shit. Years on and the passage of time is still slowly killing my motivation.

Having to watch my old friends get promotions and other things while I realize I burned my time. There is no coming back.
