Maybe it’s because the characters are more realistic, watching things like moe rom com is pure suifuel to me.

The genre i hate the most is harlems. I can't stand that shit.
I only watch depressing shit like Ergo Proxy.
Not sure that I want things in anime to be realistic though, as it kinda defeats my purpose behind watching it tbh. If I wanted things to be like our world, then I'd just take a walk outside, or maybe listen to some wonderful propaganda.
That being said, I like pretty much all anime that isn't specifically romance focused, and most harem shit is pure garbage with a couple exceptions.

Haven't watched much seinen. I watched mostly shonen but it's getting formulaic for me. Thinking about watching/reading Berserk.
I like the depth that seinen goes to.You don't really get to experience that with a lot of shows.
