At the start of the series asta was working his ass off doing thousands of situps a day while yuno was using his god given magic to do everything for him. Like when he was chopping wood and it made every foids pussy wet. yuno got all the pussy while no one even batted an eye at Asta, even in all his attempts at trying to garner recognition.
Yuno was a tall chad who never even had to try a day in his life, meanwhile asta was working in the shadows just to never even meet up to his level for about 70 episodes straight untill the author pitied asta enough to give him power-ups.

You have to admit that this was all the authors doing because he pitied asta.
