Anyone else become numb to being called ugly?

People call me ugly all the time in public. It’s mostly in ear shot though. “He’s so ugly” “ugly ass” “he’s ugly as fuck”. It happens so much and when it first started happening I’d cry. It would make me so upset I’d feel I need to rush home and hide, but now it just annoys me, because it’s one of the only things that people criticize and reject me for. It’s frustrating that all my other good qualities are ignored for something out of my control, making me feel like I’ve already lost before being given a chance

On the first day of my interview at my new job as I walked out the door the girl at the bar said “that man is so ugly” and yesterday I heard her talking to the general manager and she said, “I need a MAN working here I don’t want him working here” and the general manager was basically saying she’s going to try to get me to leave…. It’s not even a full week I’ve been working yet and people are already plotting to get me fired from my job like they’ve done at every other job
