Does anyone even celebrate their birthdays? Only person that really cared was my mother but now it seems like she stopped caring a few years ago. It's bsically just another day for me like every other holiday or special event is.

I don’t. I don’t care about my birthday, and I resent the social obligation of buying others gifts. In my mind anyone you are giving a birthday present to should have received several spontaneous gifts over the past year anyway. I certainly don’t mind a quiet cake, but unless you are 18 or under I don’t see why anyone would want a birthday party. If you want something go buy it yourself.
