A quadcopter is superior to most vehicles in many ways. It can hover. Its the most maneuverable vehicle ever created. It's a lot more versatile than an ornithopter.

An ornithopter landing on a stick is a very difficult thing to achieve with robot. I've never seen and ornithopter that could do anything like that.
