I was just thinking about this a lot the past few days. Love for women is just their realization that you are higher SMV than her, likely the highest SMV guy she will get, and the nonexistence of any severe disqualifiers. Ie. Ask a Chad how many girls have told him they have loved him even within a few hours of meeting him.
It is basically meaningless except as a marker of your SMV. If your SMV drops, that "love" disappears with it.

Maybe humans would have the capability to love if there was anything on this world worth loving.
I believe men are capable of loving a woman for a certain period of time.
Love basically describes the release of specific hormones when one human being is in the proximity of another human being.
The hormones that are released in this process make the man feel attached to the woman. This attachment would increase the chance of his children's survival. He could attain resources to ensure the maximization of the children's overall wellbeing while the mother would teach the child how to eat, walk and survive. In addition to that, she would be responsible for socializing the child.
After some years, when the child is old enough to live on its own and create its own family, the love of the father to the mother will fade away.
However, the mother never loved the father. She merely used him because she needed him.

I believe in dopamine and oxytocin.
Love is the only thing I'd give up reality and truth for.
Believing in love as in compassion, wanting others to be happy, kindness, etc is optimism. Believing in true romantic love is downright retardation. But we do get retarded when we love romantically so I guess it's only natural.
