Most of us here were born after 1990, or 1980. We're pretty insulated. The internet sprung from this era. Society became extremely interlinked, and thus comparison became prominent from across the world. It was no longer like highschool in the 80s and prior where it was your highschool/ school... and that's it. The escalation of competition, and pussy drought towards all except top tier chad wasn't as prominent as it is today.
People are inherently hypergamic, or domipolygamic (dominance polygamy, especially men). When the internet makes comparison so much more elementary, and our inherent vanity as a species is our prime motivator... to want to be dominant, powerful, cool, impressive, etc... then we're constantly comparing ourselves to those who have that, and we wouldn't. We, being a spoiled batch of generations want everything to come easy, and get antsy when we have to work for it, because working for it implies we are weak/ aren't top dogs innately.
We've been softened and that's what has caused us to not be able to deal with altercation. If this were the generations of ww2 then most of you would probably not be entitled/ sheltered/ mentalcel'd to need 100% PERFECT conditions in order to get laid. A lot of people in the previous generations would have dealt with so much bullshit that pain/ fear were just an inevitable part of life. Now we are highly entitled, and highly afraid of anything injurious to our ego. Which stops us from moving forward. We're paralyzed, and only those with high chances of success feel they can have the comfort bubble mommy and daddy gave them when they were showered with toys/ presents outside in the world.
