I can understand it from an evolutionary psychology perspective, though. A low-inhib male is more likely to mate and spread genes through rape. A low inhib male is also more likely to permanently kill or disfigure competitors, leading to higher fertility. What you'll find is that in many situations in life people naturally gravitate towards a sole authority figure. In the absence of one they will appoint one from their own.
