If you are ugly people will view you in a less positive light (the halo effect). which will make it harder to make friends so you will become socially inept which will decimate your chances of both a social life and will absolutely decimate your career (If you have one).

Please don't blackpill me on that. It's the last bit of hope I'm clinging on to.

Hope away but i posted previously about my time where I found a decent door to door sales job where, If I could do okay at it, I could be moved up to a six figure position within a year. I was out there every day even in the pouring rain and freezing snow. I never made a single sale. A blond chad joined after me and started making sales hand over fist instantly. I wondered if maybe he just had a better pitch but nope, I did my pitch for my manager to see if he could recommend any improvements and he was blown away by how good my pitch was. He literally said it "gave him chills." and couldn't recommend any improvements on my pitch.

The blond chad within a few months got bumped up to previously mentioned six figure position while my manager told me that if I couldn't make any sales he'd have to fire me. After he told me that I again failed to make any sales that week so I just quit.

Halo effect always applies even within careers.

There's a reason a lot of homeless, poor or just demotivated men are not usually that attractive.

But I want money for copes. :cryfeels::cryfeels::cryfeels::cryfeels: No copes means the rope. :cryfeels::feelsrope:

I've said it many times but this is the absolute most brutal part of the blackpill. Even in supposed incel friendly careers like tech etc being short and/or ugly will absolutely affect your ceiling.

Certain careers are more looks reliant than others. As an incel you wanna choose your career carefully. Sales is one of those careers where looks and appearance definetly matter.

They always matter. Any job where you have to work with people you WILL be passed over if you're ugly.

I agree but even in careers that aren't looks based the halo effect still prevails.

Lookism is ingained in to everything.
From love life to how well your 10 second interaction with the cashier went.

seeing the foid cashiers smile fade as soon as i get to the register was always confusing to me before i was blackpilled

Very true,if you are seen as ugly. Nobody is going to like you hardly at all in life. Maybe some old lady might be nice to you that is 80 or 90. But most guys and women will look at you like your a piece of shit. Then with how you are treated you develop depression and mental problems. You don't want to deal with the negative experiences.

Hard work is a cope I've seen it too many times when a chad gets hired they treat him like a god

I even had a foid at my old job get paid 2 dollars more then me and she didnt do shit:feelsohgod::feelsohgod:

If you are ugly male, you are lonely and hated by everyone, especially if you are short, you are even more likely to be accused of a crime you didn't make because of that, if you are ugly and short and stands up against your bullies, the people magically starts to be on the taller bully's side, i find it interesting how the video of the bullied kid Zangief(go search) went viral and everyone supported the taller kid(Zangief) that got somewhat "bullied" but when an ugly manlet go to the school and kill his bullies the society magically treats him like a psycho

If you switched the sides and the scrawny looking kid tried to kill the taller kid because of the bullying the shorter kid would be the "school shooter", this video went viral in Brazil

Being ugly should be considered a physical deficit, like being born paralyzed. Because it basically fuck up your whole life

We need to break rules.

It was over before it began.

I'm sorry but the fat and tall kid was not the bully.

the shorter kid was throwing punches and getting physical without any reason.

Yes, it is true, but you didn't understand my text here, the shorter kid was the bully in this video and the taller kid almost broke the shorter one, but it was the halo effect that made this video gone viral, because if the shorter kid was the bullied one and tried to kill a taller bully he would be labeled as the "school shooter" because of the respect that taller boys got by the society since they are born

Yep accumulating all those negative experiences is not good for the psyche.

I think halo effect just applied to the career field you went into, everybody knows sales and marketing has a lot more to do with looks than anything

If you were doing coding, do you think the Chad would have been promoted by doing subpar error filled coding and being attractive, and you wouldn't whilst your code is perfect and error free?

You went into a field where looks matter, so don't demotivate others by being vague, and don't demotivate yourself by not realizing your initial mistake

Your mistake wasn't that you thought skill > looks, your mistake is that you tried to be successful in a field where skill > looks

Please don't blackpill me on that. It's the last bit of hope I'm clinging on to.
Depends on the career, if you are trying to get into sales or marketing then give up

If you are trying to do something in STEM, or something more individual like day trading (forex, stocks, futures, etc) then you can hopeful

Just remember though that your work can't just be good, you have to be assertive too, you have to make it known to your boss that you are serious and you want the promotion when it comes time to select someone

Else even low IQ Chad will get the promotion while you timidly type away at your laptop in some corner

Being in the working world is also a social thing, it isn't about just doing your work and doing it well, being assertive about what you want is a must to move up to a higher position, being the quiet hard worker just means you are a useful idiot that they can keep around to keep the company profiting without having to reward you

Don't even delude yourself into thinking that you being an asset means that they value you, people will always try to get as much output out of you with minimal input, and you not being assertive is you signalling to your superiors that they can milk all your time and effort and not have to bother rewarding you

The only reason I got promotions and raises is not just because I was a good worker, but it was because I demanded pay raises and promotions along with working hard, you have to let people know that you are an asset and you expect to be treated like one, rather than something disposable

I know for a fact there are a lot of guys how complain about "Chad getting promotions" in the work place when all they did was do work and never tried to socialize with the boss or let the boss know that they are expecting a promotion at some point because of their quality of work

To many people (sadly even men today) expect to be passive in life and to not be overlooked

Chad is inherently social, he's going to be trying to hang out with the boss, if its a female boss he's going to be flirting, etc, but if you are being assertive on top of out performing him, she will still pick you, because profits and efficiency come first

I don't know how to be assertive, especially in the workplace, since I'm terrified of job hunting and interviews.

There's no such thing as "knowing how to be assertive", I don't understand why people think like this, like its some kind of science

After the right amount of time (depends on the field and average rate of promotion), if you know you are performing well (especially because your boss has told you so), you ask the boss to speak with them personally in their office, and you very simply let them know that you are a hard worker, you show consistent results, and if they are thinking about promoting anyone you would like to be considered

Its as simple as that, it only works if you are actually a good worker and not consistent, you may have to put in some extra effort too

For example I was working double shifts like crazy so they came to depend on me, and they knew they could trust me, where as taller attractive male workers would often take days off and be slackers, so promoting me wasn't even a shocker, tbh I knew I would be promoted
