It's not, that's a fundamental misconception that pick-up artists have been making since at least the 1980's. It's actually an example of survivorship bias.
So men look at the dating market and see that a few "bad boys" have a lot of toilets, they don't really look at how the man looks simply that he's acting like an asshole, so he thinks that acting like an asshole will get him toilets.
Now niceguy Chad's are actually the highest in demand asset because most toilets actually prefer nice guys, but they're simply not attracted unattractive nice guys. Now the Chad's that aren't nice guys and do all the pumping and dumping.
