In a hypothetical scenario if I were on this forum for a couple of years, high post count, trusted forum member and had the privilege of being chosen as mod (received the majority of upvotes), I couldn't do it.

I am way too high inhib, stressed and can't deal with the burden of expectations of being a mod.
