There is some objective things in a face that will always be better and look better. Like a nice forward grown jaw compared to a recessed jaw. Beauty in the eye of the beholder really doesnt exist when it comes to features like that. Only really works for maybe hair colour or small shit like that.

So, being “average” in this sense actually means having healthy and balanced features that many people find beautiful.
There's a reason why models are typically attractive. And there are no overweight male models. All male models more or less look the same, if I'm being honest. Its very clear what women find attractive, and its not subjective at all.
People only claim it is subjective because things like mid face ratio or gonial angle are too confusing for them.
