Update: I played a lot of it yesterday. Don't know why it seems hated but the game seems way better than 2042 and is honestly more like 3 and 4. I am not pre-ordering because I am punishing EA for pushing out the diarrhea shit stain that was 2042. But of course the graphics are different than the former two games.
The problems I had:
-Servers constantly crashing, making me have to restart my game after every match.
-Pretty much all the guns except the DMRs and LMGs feel like pea shooters. I feel like in the other games it didn't take eight bullets for me to kill someone with an AR or Carbine. Even the starting pistol feels more powerful.
-Sliding kind of feels too "overpowered" like in Trepang2.
-I'm also pretty sure the game is starting to have a cheating problem ALREADY because there was someone on the enemy team with a blank name who was infantry only and went 32-3 by the end of the match and had laser aim. There were a couple other players on my team/the enemy team like this as well. For the record I still regularly play BF3 and BF4 (and used to play a lot of BFBC2) with high level oldheads with thousands of more hours than me all the time and have been playing Battlefield since Battlefield 1942 and never met any legit players like this. I guess that's just what happens though when the demographic of gamers shifts more towards Cluster B personality disorder Zoomers.
-Movement felt a bit more COD-like and less Battlefield like than BF3 and BF4, but not exactly on that level.
