It was narrated from ‘Imran ibn Husayn that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “I looked into Paradise and I saw that the majority of its people were the poor. And I looked into Hell and I saw that the majority of its people are women.”

She was married to Joseph. Most scholars now believe that Matthew added virgin birth story himself because he wanted Jesus to fit in the prophecies of Isaiah, but he didn't know Hebrew well enough and though it said virgin birth instead of birth from a young woman.
