Aspies are generally high functioning. They can drive, hold down jobs, go to school, but they struggle immesnely socially.
People with general autism are usually lower functioning but they can be high functioning. If they're high functioning, they're very similar to aspies in that their social skills are abysmal.

Unfortunately, no. Having most of the issues and symptoms commonly associated with autism doesn't even indicate you have it. Even psychs can misdiagnose, from personal experience. In kindergarden thru second grade my schoolteachers and psychologist thought I had autism and I was misplaced into the special needs class but they realized I was a normal kid around 3rd grade.
