Leave it to the OP to make
@FrothySolutions seem like a good poster
Lol and u tag the person who was one of the reasons I made this thread
He doesn't have autism
I don't know how you could read my anecdotes about pacing around my room for an hour while flapping my hands and talking to myself, performing the same restrictive tasks repeatedly as a hedge against anxiety, and as a child banging my head against the wall due to sensory overload and say I'm not autistic.
If you're impressed with the status of
@coldmachinery's autism because he struggles to tie his shoes, then guess what? I have also struggled to tie my shoes, and ded srs could hardly do so until a few years ago. This is known as motor skills deficiency as seen in autism (and Asperger's Syndrome in particular).
What's the point of you being diagnosed with this thing if it doesn't affect you so much then? Seems pointless.
His point is that the disabling aspects of autism are a consequence of social expectations, or that society is what adversely affects autists rather than their autism in itself, which is only a matter of perspective.
The reason why you would get diagnosed with autism in spite of this is because you might realize that society is not going to change in any case, and either you must change and/or get help for your intractable autistic characteristics by first seeking to define and understand them.
How is it even allowed for people to be diagnosed with stuff like that at a young age? That's fucking dumb unless it is extremely severe and affects day to day life.
If you misdiagnose someone at a young age then that psychological affect happens (forgot what it's called) starts to take place and then you really develop the traits of autism (tiny traits which everyone else has only you have it the tiniest bit more) because you think that you have it.
Autism not only
can be diagnosed in childhood but
should be diagnosed in childhood because it's more of a neurological condition, not a psychological condition. Its etiology is hereditary rather than environmental. This is something that you continually fail to comprehend.
What cannot be diagnosed in childhood is psychological conditions, because personality formation is still in flux during these years, and cannot be said to have settled down and become concrete, either in a healthy or pathological way.
But if autism is left undiagnosed as a child and you are left to LARP as a neurotypical for your own survival, it never ends well, and
@coldmachinery has shared his own negative experiences in this regard.
