Anyone else find that given their total isolation and mistreatment from general society that their sexual inclinations have actually changed or deepened?

-Hentai Monster Girls (Genuine Monsters, few human features)
-Guro (Mild)
-Guro (Hard, dismemberment's, executions, gunshots)
-Guro (Strangulation, *This is where I remained for awhile*)
-Guro (Throat slitting/strangulation)
----At this point I found that regular porn seldom 'did' anything, I couldn't maintain an erection watching it the majority of the time----
-Guro (Strangulation leading into Necrophilia)
-Real life pictures of females in pain/screaming (Horror movies etc)

I sat there and wondered exactly how much this transition may be part of the cause of why I'm such a failure. I also wonder is this change is BECAUSE of how society views us or because it was a latent sexual interest.

What do you all think and have any of you noticed a similar occurrence?

I think it has more to do with you becoming desensitized with porn. Just like being hit on the same spot over and over will cause you to feel less and less pain over time, same happens with porn. After your brain gets used to one regular genre it starts looking for something more extreme, and after this extreme thing seems boring, you brain seeks something even more exciting.
Just read all of the "your brain on porn" articles, they explain it pretty well.

There's a correlation but not necessarily a cause/effect relation. I thought people here were keen on this kind of stuff, I'm almost surprised to not find so many posts talking about this subject here.
