Pain has many reasons if you look at the bigger picture, if we're talking about a reality in which God exists which we are. Pain makes us come closer to God for help and relief. Without it we would be in need of nothing and some type of ascended beings which we aren't. We are lowly creatures who shit and sleep, we clearly aren't self sufficient.
A thought experiment that might clear this up
There's a world, where there is no pain or evil , you can't ever lie, you can never hurt someone everytime there's a crime about to take place for example a murder the man tries to stab another man and the knife disappears in a puff of smoke.
