In Japan, average female was around 5'2.5ish. Because of how low the variance for them is, seeing a woman above 5'6 was quite surprising. I actually couldn't find a single one above 5'9 for 2 weeks. 5'9 is genuinely aroudn 1 in a few thousands.

one girl who was 5’8 got assaulted by a guy for her height. Imo though, 5’8 isnt that bad if frame isnt large (not that rare look at candice swanpoel and a few pornstars) and bones are medium thin and dimorphic. 5’8 japanese women are not actually that bad due to smaller frame than their western counterparts. Tall women are less worshipped in Japan (not in south korea tho, look at wonyoung and others), and 5’8 is very tall there.
