i once put some piece of manga that wasn't translated like for 5+ years to google lens, extracted japanese text and ran through GPT to translate it and made basic MSpaint tier edits to those three pages and uploaded somewhere

and oh boy did that piss off those stupid elitists...like every second comment was about how i ruined it, how i should have learnt japanese instead of running through GPT and how i should've otherwise "commissioned" (hired) a translator instead of doing it and all weaboo seethe
due to seethe and reporting they got that upload deleted from that website

just translating three page of some manga sent them towards such a rage, fucking imagine

I just compared translated text in both and found GPT one to be more 'natural' in sentence flow so i put it there but basic gist was almost same to what was written in japanese
there are better tools to run translations for japanese like DeepL and so but chatgpt also gives explanation of things if you need contexes so it's kind of mini-learning experience so yeah
