Ever since seeing something like arranged marriage being touted as a solution on here, I have always wondered why arranged marriage ever existed in the first place. People don't support it now... Chads, Stacies, Beta-Cucks, and Normies all support female sexual freedom and choice, and the only people harmed by female sexual freedom are Incels and Cucks, but the cucks seem fine with it. There is no need for arranged marriage in today's society... Only a small subset of a small subset of men are even angry about the current dating market, that group being blackpilled incels.
In the past, however, there was incentives for all of these groups to support arranged marriage. In the olden times, Incels were necessary to the functioning of society. All low value men were needed for labor, political input, and other functions around the olden towns. The only way to keep these low-value men engaged in society was to promise them the prospect of an arranged (forced) wife. This way they would be less likely drop out of the labor force and become NEETs as labor from all men was necessary during these times.
In today's society, there is a surplus of labor because women are now trusted to do most jobs (while they do some jobs well, there are some jobs that are not for their kind), so low value men have turned into no value men. There is no reason for society to care if an Incel becomes NEET because his labor wasn't necessary to functioning. In fact, it may be better off if he lives in a cave.
The only threat Incels pose to society anymore is mass violence, and even when Incels ER nothing changes because the events are so small scale and far apart in time that no one really feels threatened by it.
