People don't recognize how NT vs non-NT is still down to genetics and just because you can't directly observe how a persons autistic brain is fucking them over (compared to e.g. how you can directly observe why a short guy isn't gonna do well a majority of sports and dating) doesn't mean they can just turn themselves into a different person by sheer power of will. Most of your brain structure is no more under your direct control than your facial structure is.

I don't think there is a room for a reasonable discussion about this on here. Basic status-seeking instincts combined with a kind of low-IQ mental inflexibility leave no room for nuance or compromise.

If you let me wear a cap or something else to hide my hair, I'm maybe 4-5/10. But once you take that away I drop hard. The lower half of my face is ok-ish. Beard is decent. Chin is not great but not terrible either. Once you get to the upper half things change for the worst. My eyes and head shape and hair and skin in general are all kind of fucking ugly.
